3 Segments. 1 Hour. A Whole New Way of Attending to Reality.

Pascal said, "The heart has its reasons that reason knows not of."

In this short audio course, discover what makes the reasons of the "heart," found in what we will be calling "poetic experience," a more compelling source of knowledge, of truth, than scientific or philosophical modes of knowing.

3 segments of approximately 20 minutes each. 1 hour-plus instruction time. Perfect to listen to on a commute or on a walk--or with friends as part of a group discussion. The course includes an 8-page PDF of course notes, notes which include all major textual quotations and a bibliography.

Taught by philosopher Dr. Daniel McInerny, associate professor and chair of the philosophy department at Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia (USA). McInerny is the author of BEAUTY & IMITATION: A PHILOSOPHICAL REFLECTION ON THE ARTS (Word on Fire Academic, 2024), and of the novel, THE GOOD DEATH OF KATE MONTCLAIR (Chrism Press, 2023). McInerny is also conductor of the Substack newsletter, THE COMIC MUSE, where he helps lovers of the arts achieve a philosophically rich understanding of artistic creativity and beauty.
